The courts love me
My first jury summons came in the summer of 1997. It was for a capital murder case that was to take place in the fall. I was excused. The defendant was then sentenced to death.
My next jury summons came a few days ago. I was summoned to court in SF. I just moved to Portland. I shouldn’t have a problem getting out of this one.

Pie Guy - a free web game for your iPhone - Neven... →
I tried Pie Guy on my iPhone 3GS. My initial reaction was there was a bit of a lag in controls. Enough that it made it hard to control. So I deleted it. Impressive use of cutting edge web standards technology. But I can’t see it as anything more than a tech demo.
The only reason I mention this is because (a) a web app isn’t going to compete with a native iPhone app for a game, and (b)...
Why NCAA XC is shooting itself in the foot
- The national championships are held at noon. ON A MONDAY. In Indiana.
- You need Silverlight to watch the live stream online.

I want to watch it. But I’ll have to be sure to do a full backup before I install Silverlight so that I can be sure to totally uninstall it. And I’ll probably have to watch it with the audio muted.

There’s a group of people out there who simply HATE Flash. What I hate is when I navigate to a page, then get quickly redirected to another page, so all of a sudden the BACK button won’t take me back to the page I went to; it takes me to the “middleman” page that sends me right back to the page I was trying to leave. After roughly 7.5 years of being a very bad boy, I went to the dentist today. Day one cost me $632 (cleaning, checkup, full x-rays, and a filling on two surfaces). My fairly crappy insurance should cover roughly $150 of that.
